2 Tuesday, Day 2 Week 1 Bell Work & Objective
Tues. Objectives: TSW define keyboarding vocabulary The student will perform keyboarding applications and techniques Tuesday Bell Work Question: What is the difference between ethical behavior (examples: honesty, using work time correctly, keeping employer information confidential, etc.) versus unethical behavior (examples: swearing when customers can hear, treating your friends better than other customers, taking credit for something you didn’t do? -- Describe one more example.

3 Day 2 Tuesday-Daily Agenda
1. Introduce the lesson on Keyboarding Application and give the purpose of it. 2. Discuss various keyboarding vocabulary and techniques with students. 3. Complete notes on keyboarding vocabulary and techniques –See PowerPoint/Handout 4. Continue keyboarding lesson on . 5. Closure: Share keyboarding techniques with class mates. (See Next Slide) Homework: Explain homework assignment: Informational Interview Questions and Keyboarding Handout. Due Thursday

5 Day 3 -Wed. Bell Work & Objective
Objective: Day 3 Investigate social and ethical issues related to technology in the context of the Law, Public Safety, and Corrections & Security career cluster. Bell Work Question for Wednesday: How does one behavior in school relates to one future career or job. Explain and give examples

6 Day 3 Wed.Daily Agenda Introduce lesson on ethical issues related to technology and give purpose. Review Keyboarding Vocabulary from previous day. (Remind students about Keyboarding Vocabulary Test on Friday. Have students look online-google search for examples of ethical or legal situations in the workplace or for the consequences of these situations (examples: losing job or jail time). Split the class into partners or small groups. Assign a previously taught cluster to each group. Have each group look at the career pathways and specialties in their assigned cluster and brainstorm two situations which deal with ethical or legal responsibilities. Hand out the “Group Brainstorm” activity sheet and instruct students to write their legal responsibilities and ethical situations on the sheet under problem, then fill out the solutions section and tell why they think their solution would work. Use for activities on computer ethics and share activities If time permits, continue work on keyboard on Closure: Have students to share today’s activities with students on ethical behavior Homework: Due Thursday

7 Day 4 Thursday Bell Work & Objective
Bell Work Question for Thursday: How does one’s attitude affect a person’s ability to find and keep a job? Give examples Objective(s) Thursday: Use career planning software to become familiar with the 16 National Career Clusters and the opportunities for employment in each one. Prepare program of study for middle school in MS Choices software.

8 Day 4 Thursday Daily Agenda
Teacher will check and discuss homework with class and review Keyboarding Vocabulary today. Teacher will introduce lesson and give purpose of exploring careers in the 16 National Career Clusters. Teacher will discuss the 16 National Career Clusters.(See online) The teacher will guide the students through demonstration on how to create a Student Portfolio-Mississippi by going to on MS Choices Software. Students will surf through the 16 National Career Clusters on MS Choices and select one career in the Law, Public Safety Career Cluster to begin research for this week. Differentiated Activities for Students: Make up work on Internet Scavenger and Career Planning Worksheet Integrated Language Arts-Research Report will begin research skills today. Closure: Wrap up –Exit Question on Canvas Homework: Continue studying Keyboarding Vocabulary today. Test Friday

9 Day 5 Bell Work & Objective
Objectives: demonstrate their strengths and weaknesses on keyboarding vocabulary skills and techniques test with 70% accuracy. demonstrate effective research skills on integrated Language activity. Friday Bell Work Question: Explain why researching a career is important to you.

10 Day 5 Friday Daily Agenda for Students
Introduce today’s lesson and purpose. Complete keyboarding vocabulary skills and techniques test on Canvas. Explain the process of writing the research activity-Lang. Integration Activity—See Classwork Handout—Continue on Day 4 Utilize various resources online to do their research in Language Arts. Continue keyboarding application on Wrap up with a review –See Canvas
