5. C YBER B ULLYING What is it: Cyberbullying is bullying others online by sending hurtful messages, posting embarrassing pictures, and by spreading lies to others. How to Prevent/Stop it: Ignore and block harassers, delete e-mail accounts where you are being bullied, and let a parent or adult you trust know if you’re being bullied.

6. I NAPPROPRIATE C ONTENT What is it: Inappropriate content would include pornographic images and text, bad language, and violence. How to Prevent/Stop it: Be careful with the sites you enter, have a parent or adult install internet-filtering software, and let an adult you trust know if you come upon anything questionable.

7. P REDATORS Who are they: An individual who is seeking sexual relations, usually with a child. How to Prevent/Stop Contact with Predators: Don’t go on social networking sites if you are under the age of thirteen, don’t enter chat rooms, don’t to give out personal information, and tell a parent or responsible adult if you are harassed or if someone makes you feel uncomfortable.

8. D AMAGED R EPUTATION What is it: A child’s reputation can be changed by inappropriate posts, pictures, and videos that they may have posted of themselves, or that others may have posted of them. How to stop/prevent it: Make sure you don’t let people take inappropriate or embarrassing pictures of you, and make sure they delete already existing inappropriate, or embarrassing pictures.
