4 1. Receiving Gifted Funds from UP Good news – we are able to spend endowment proceeds as we had in the past Each spring District Directors are alerted about the amount endowment proceeds available to counties on July 1 st. After July 1 st an email request can be made to Melody Witherite for the endowment proceeds to be sent to the county to be used to fund the local program.

5 1. Receiving Gifted Funds from UP Reporting back – There will likely be a requirement to share in some formal way how the endowment funds were used. – Similar to the feedback required by many foundations – More information about this process will be shared with District Directors in the coming months

6 1. Receiving Gifted Funds from UP Non endowed funds (annual gift funds) are sent directly to the recipient counties on a quarterly basis from the Extension Business Office – If you need the funds sooner, email Melody Witherite Gifts of $5000 or more are not available to be spent or disbursed for 90 days. – if you need access to the funds sooner, please alert the Extension Business Office prior to the gift being received if possible
