3 Brief Introduction of My Views In Mahara, all blogs, resumes and other types of uploaded resources are called Artefacts. You can easily share all these information to others by using My View function in Mahara. In My View, you can create as many views as want. These views can be used to present different photos, videos from Youtube or even your personally resumes and blogs. You can set different rules to show these views to different group of audiences. You can reuse or rename these views depend on different context. 3Guide of My Views - Team 3

6 The My Views Page In My Views page, you could see the views list as the right picture. As you can see, there are three buttons indicating the operations you could use. Create View Create Template Copy a View 6Guide of My Views - Team 3

7 My Views Interface The picture below show is the My views interface: You can have multiple views under one account. Use Create View Bottom to create a new view; Use Create Template Bottom to create a new view template; Use Copy View Bottom to copy view. 7Guide of My Views - Team 3

8 Create a view If you want to create a view, just click the Create View button. Then you will be redirected to the Create View Step One: Layout 8Guide of My Views - Team 3

12 The default layout page This part is the content part: All those content can be shown in you views page. The way to make than available to you view page is to simply drag the web part to the third part: Page Layout design! 12Guide of My Views - Team 3

14 The default layout page You can drag the web part as much as you want, but you can only get 3 columns. What if One want More / Less columns? 14Guide of My Views - Team 3

15 Change layout To change layout: Click the green text above the “Drag blocks ” text The one with a small pen in front and A big ? At the end. 15Guide of My Views - Team 3

16 Change layout Here you can see, the current number of columns is 3 This mean that you can only have 3 columns in you view. To change the number, click the drop down list☺ 16Guide of My Views - Team 3

17 Change Columns Select the number of columns you want in your view~ And then click next! 17Guide of My Views - Team 3

22 Create a View Step Two: Details In the view details, you can add Title and Description with any tags that will help you to find the view and select how you want your name to be displayed on the View page. The Description you add in the HTML editor will appear in the finished version of your View, so you may wish to change your font to match the colour and size in your local Mahara installation. You can add tags to views you create. Tags allow you add descriptive labels to views, which you can use to classify and search for them. 22Guide of My Views - Team 3

23 Create a View Step Three: Access This step we can assign access rights to groups or individuals if required. Select the View to change and select Edit View access button You can choose to add people who can access your view from Public, Logged in users, Friends or Groups Select who you want to give access to and then select Add. You can use the search box to add individual users or groups The individual users or groups you added will appear in the right lane, under the Added heading 23Guide of My Views - Team 3

24 24 If you want you can set date and time of view access it means you can give access to your view for a certain period. 24 Create a View Step Three: Access Guide of My Views - Team 3

25 Create a template If you want to create a template of view which you can reuse it, then you should click on the Create Template button. In fact, steps to create templates are the same as to create new views. You will easily get familiar with using create template function once you know how to create a view. 25Guide of My Views - Team 3

26 Copy a view If you already have view/s in the My Views list, you could copy one of the existing view once a time. You could changed the name of the new view after you finish editing it. 26Guide of My Views - Team 3

27 Copy a view You can select the Copy View button next to the view you want to copy. 27Guide of My Views - Team 3

28 Delete a view If you want to delete a view, just click on the Delete this View link. The link will link you to the confirming page. Once a view is deleted, a reminder will be shown on the top of the main content. You can select “Yes” to delete the view, or “No” to cancel operation. 28Guide of My Views - Team 3

29 Submit a view for assessment You could submit a particular view to the group you belonging to for assessment. To submit a view, please click on the Submit button in the bottom of that view. 29Guide of My Views - Team 3

30 Edit view details, layout and access In fact, the edit functions are similar to those functions you will use to create new views. So you can refer to create view steps for more information. 30Guide of My Views - Team 3
