MTEI Report Methods & Tools for Enterprise Integration Milan, Italy June 18, 2010 Cyril Effantin (EDF R&D), Alan McMorran (Open Grid Systems )

MTEI WG Agenda Joint session with IOP WG – Ben Constable, Sparx System –collaborative work with UML in EA – Mariangela Orme, IBM – Using Rational Software Architect to accelerate Smart Grid Integration – CIMTool & jCleanCIM– Margaret Goodrich, SISCO Methods update – Cyril Effantin, EdF CimConteXtor – Andre Maizener & Jean Luc Sanson CIMClipse – Dominque Marcadet, SUPELEC EWEtool CIM Bench – Michael Grundler, BTC Energy reference model catalog – Jose Gonzalez, Offis Mercury & CimSpy Update – Alan McMorran, Open Grid Systems

Collaborative work around UML modelling in EA - Ben Constable Sparx Systems Live demonstration of using EA for collaborative work leveraging Various scenarios With or without centralized repository (Version Control) Demo showing comparison, merging of UML models and conflict resolutions

Using Rational Software Architect and IEC CIM to Accelerate Smart Grid Application Integration : Mariangela Orme, (IBM ) Presentation and Demo about using RSA to drive model-based message definition. Extensions of the models, clear identifications of modifications Capability of marking the selecting UML artefacts and create a new profiled model Message XSD generations Maintenance of message model Integration into ESB (Web Service)

CimTool presentation Margaret Goodrich SISCO Live demo of this Opensource tool Capability of creating a CIM profiles generate schemas for exchanged XML data. Capability of importing a excel spreadsheet

jCleanCim Margaret Goodrich SISCO Live demo of this Opensource tool main capabilities : Load of CIM Models Validation of Models Documentation generation

Methods update Cyril Effantin EDF R&D Presentation of a common methodological framework to build XML data from the CIM in a technology independent way: XSD OWL RDFS Etc… Presentation based on European WG16 market extensions definition.

CimConteXtor André Maizener(Zamiren) Live Demo on a tool enabling to profile the CIM directly into EA through an EA plugin To generate XML schemas

CIMCLipse Dominique Marcadet (SUPELEC) Tool Live Demo on : Showing how to integrate the CIM into the OMG modelling stack (Systems, model, meta model, meta meta model)…. In order to bring MDE (model driven engineering) to CIM inside Eclipse. Leveraging the use of OCL to validate CIM/RDF network file

EWEtool CIMBench Michael Gründler (BTC) Live demo of the CIMBench Tool Comfortable Generation of CIM based XML schemas through the ability of loading CIM EA model, exploring; searching and selecting Artefacts from the CIM, down to generating XSD for CIM messages.

Energy reference model catalog – Energy-RMC José González (offis) Developing a catalog of reference models structuring the energy sector in order to support the developpement of information systems. In particular: illustration of a method to classify reference model sources through a set of criteria How is it formalized ? using ontology standard OWL The catalog can be explored and searched through the use of Protégé tool and SPARQL query language.

Updates on tools Cimphony,CimSpy Alan McMorran (Open Grid Systems) CIMSpy A Tool for exploring, searching, merging, displaying (graphical and geographical), validating CIM/RDF network model. Presentation of his little brother CIMDesk made for explicitly for ENTSO-e needs. CIMPhony : application capabilities: – explore CIM/RDF network models (display graphical and geographical representations) – support Profiles – OCL based validation – Transformation of data with QVTO – Support for exposing functionalities in Webservice and cmd lines as well. – Topological processing – Geographical tools for visualizations of networks
