Had the first writing called cuneiform.
They had 3 social classes: Ruling class, middle class, and the working class.
Developed a calendar with 12 months.

Lasted 200 years after Sargon died.
Were conquered by Babylon.

In this chapter it told about the earliest empires of Mesopotamia. First was the Sumerian Empire. They invented cuneiform (writing). After was the Akkadian Empire. Sargon the Great was the founder of Akkad. Then there was the Babylonian Empire. They made the code of Hammurabi. Then the Kassites came to take over Babylon but couldn’t. The Hittites robbed Babylon and made it possible for the Kassites to take over. Then the Assyrain Empire took warfare from the Hittites. In the Neo Babylonian Empire Nebuchadnezzar.
