7. PDI in Japan (1) -PDI has been specified and recommended thru JIRA, IHE-J, etc. in Japan. -Some problems have been reported in handling PDI media at reception. - Physical problem ( can not read …) - Usage ( so many images, hidden files …) - Related organizations in Japan are discussing practical unified condition for using PDI.

8. New guidelines in Japan (1) mhlw ( Ministry of Health,labor and welfare ) is demanding all clinics/hospitals to claim treatment fees via internet by 2010. current : print-outs, 5” floppy 2010 ： FTH/CATV/ADSL, VPN, PKI mhlw also acknowledged that Medical data can be stored in commercial warehouse.
