2 1. Each state has it’s own copyright laws? 2. You can remain anonymous when you download songs of the internet? 3. Some abuses of copyright are criminal and therefore punishable with jail time? 4. Is it okay to copy a friend’s cd he just paid for? 5. If you rightly purchase a painting you now own the copyright to it?

3 No each state does not have it’s own copyright laws. Every state in the United States has the same copyright laws.

4 You can remain anonymous but it’s never 100% that you are anonymous.

5 You can get a fine or sued. Also you may be sent to jail if you get convicted.

6 No, it’s not okay. You may not copy any cd’s into your computer or onto an MP3 and then give your friend the cd back.

7 No, in America you only own the painting. The artist still has the copyright of it unless the painting copyright is passed on to you.
