3 At The End Of Your Rope It doesn't really mean you are hanging off a rope. It means that you are giving up or your are sick of the attitude! I Can’t take any More!!!!!!

4 Head in the Sand If someone tells you get your head out of the sand…They really mean pay attention to what is going on, not that you have your head stuck in the sand!!!!

5 WEATYER UNDER THE WEATHER  The figurative meaning is that someone is standing under the weather. The real meaning is that you are sick.

6 Go Fly a Kite It really means to tell somebody to get somewhere it does not really mean to fly a kite. For example, somebody is messing with you, and you tell them “ To Go Fly A Kite” so they leave you alone.

11 Off The Hook The idiom “ off the hook ” doesn’t mean that you are off the hook, it really means that you are very excited about something. The class was off the hook on Friday, and they got in trouble all day.

12 Fair Weather Friend ‘’I said fair weather friend,” It really means someone is only your friend when things are going good. It doesn’t talk about the weather. When things are going wrong a fair weather friend won’t be there for you.

13 Take a chill pill It does not mean really take a chill pill. It really means calm down!

14 Idioms The Idiom “Out of the frying pan and in to the fire” doesn’t mean that your in the frying pan and your put in the fire.” It means you just got in trouble and now you got in trouble again.

15 Bark up the wrong tree doesn’t really mean that you are barking while looking up at a tree. It means that you are blaming the wrong person for something that they did not do !!! Bark up The Wrong Tree

16 The real meaning for nose to the Grndstone means to pay attention and don’t Listen to who is talking to you! Nose to the Grindstone

17 FLY OFF THE HANDLE… IT REALY MEANS THAT YOU ARE LOSING YOUR Temper, not that someone is flying off a handle. My mom flies off the handle when I talk to much and it annoys her!!!

18 Hold Your Horses The idiom “Hold Your Horses” means to hold on and wait a minute. The figurative meaning is to hold on to your horse.

21 Cry wolf The figurative meaning is a wolf crying but, the real meaning is that you keep saying something and it is not true! People will stop believing you when you cry wolf!
