3 Appearance Fully-equipped always wear mouth guard, helmet strapped, cup, etc. Pride look professional; matching socks, clean uniform, etc. Energetic body Language No sitting on boards no leaning on the boards or kneeling during drills Never the last player on the ice

4 Energy 100% Speed when nearest the puck 100% Energy at the puck Back-check hard to the crease Come hard to the bench

5 Discipline No retaliation (nobody gets to your mind) Control your stick (no hooking/slashing/tripping/high sticking) Whistle to Whistle (no penalties after the whistle) Leave the refs alone (talking to the refs never helps and usually hurts)

6 Toughness Compete on loose pucks /in faces/strong over puck Physical /hit/finish checks; hands down Accept hits when necessary straightest line to pucks Stop in goalie’s face without touching him Block Shots
