The S.S. are a special forces group that were trained to run a concentration camp.
The S.S. were a higher class than the Gestapo.

3. Auschwitz
Elie was forced to Auschwitz from the Sighet Ghetto and was almost burned in its oven.
He was also separated from all of his family when he was forced to Auschwitz.

4. Evacuation
Elie stayed with his family and didn’t have to work as much as he did in Auschwitz.
Elie was forced to run to the nearest train station to Auschwitz from the Sighet Ghetto.

5. Health Inspections Home
Passing the health inspection tests were hard for Jews because they needed to be strong enough to do hard work like carrying stones from place to place.
It made it hard for the Jews because they were fed very little food, very little times.

6. Liberation
Many Jews were liberated from concentration camps and many were not.

7. Pogrom Home A pogrom was planned on Sighet, Elie’s home.
Because of the pogrom planned on Sighet, Elie had to be transferred to Auschwitz.

8. Exposition
In the book Night most of the story takes place in concentration camps like Buna and Auschwitz
Elie and his dad were pretty much the main characters, but the Nazis played an important part because they lived in a small town and were transported to one of the most horrible concentration camps in the world Auschwitz

9. Rising Action
In the book Night, Elie was forced out of his home to the Sighet Ghetto.
Then he was moved from the Sighet Ghetto to Auschwitz, then to Buna, and then Buchenwald.

10. Climax Home At the climax of the story Elie’s father died of hunger.
Before his father died Elie thought his father was going to be burned in the oven because he thought his father was too weak.to pass the physical test.

11. Falling Action
After his fathers death, Elie head to stay at Buchenwald in the children's block until April 11th.

On April 11th Elie was liberated from the Buchenwald concentration camp.
