14 Assessment: Smarter Balance (SBAC) ▫Cognitive Rigor/Depth Of Knowledge (DOK)  Questions asking students to demonstrate a depth of knowledge cognitively deeper that on previous tests. ▫Test Format Changes  Computer Based & Performance Task  Technology – Keyboarding  Training students to access the test format ▫Untested form of assessing mastery of Common Core  States using the new assessment are seeing a score recalibration based on the new assessment ▫Whole-Staff training in the Fall/ Parent Presentation in the Early Spring
