2. PLEASE JOIN US FOR HOLY COMMUNION! Welcome to the Lutheran Church of our Saviour! We will be celebrating Holy Communion this morning. You need not be Lutheran nor a member of this congregation. All are invited to join us at God’s Table. Gluten-free bread and grape-juice are also available. The ushers will direct you forward at the appropriate time.

4. 2015-2016 Internship Program As approved at our Annual Meeting this past year, LCOS has been selected by Waterloo Lutheran Seminary as an Internship site. Starting in September, we will be welcoming Seminary Intern, Chris Krejlgaard who will be with us for 12 months, learning the art of pastoral ministry. Please keep Chris in your prayers and get ready to welcome him among us this coming fall!

6. POTLUCK BBQ Following worship on September 13 th, please plan to stay for a potluck BBQ, where you will have an opportunity to meet Chris Krejlgaard, our new Seminary Intern. Please bring a salad and / or dessert. Meat and drinks will be provided. Please let us know if you’re coming by signing the sheet in the narthex.

7. For those going into grades 7, 8, or 9 Confirmation Classes will begin on Wednesday, September 16 th at 4pm. Classes will be held every Wednesday (Pastor Christie will provide a schedule at the first class) from 4-5pm. See you there! Confirmation Class

8. KNITTING FOR VETERANS GROUP The gathering for Sept. will be on Sept. 15 th at 10:00 am. Starting in Oct. the group will meet on the second Tuesday of each month

9. BISHOP’S COMPANY FOR MISSION A fund-raiser to enhance and expand the mission of the Eastern Synod, beyond the Synod’s operating budget. This year’s dinner will take place on October 17 th, and will feature guest- speaker, the Rev. Dr. Rebecca Larson. Please contact the church office for more information, or see the poster on the bulletin board between the washrooms.

10. CONVERSATION IN FAITH Join us on Tuesday in the library from 1:30-2:30pm. As we continue to study “The Spiritual Quest in a Changing Culture”. On Tuesday, Sept. 22 nd we will be starting chapter 5, Baptism. Why do we do, what we do, during the service on a Sunday morning?

11. BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP On Wednesdays for 6 weeks starting on Sept. 9 th. See the notice on the bulletin board in he Fellowship Hall for more details.

12. FRIENDS OF CLWR WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE LUTHERANS DOING There is a presentation at 2:30 about the projects that CLWR (with your help) are doing around the world. PLACE: Faith Lutheran Church, Port Elgin DATE: Saturday, September 26 TIME: 2-4pm Free admission
