Christian Libertarian “No nation has ever yet existed or been governed without religion. Nor can be.” –Thomas Jefferson

Libertarians are not liberals Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. liberals prefer self-government in personal matters and central decision-making on economics.

I Samuel 8 11 [Samuel] said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will do: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. 12 Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. 13 He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. 14 He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. 15 He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. 16 Your menservants and maidservants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. 17 He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen.”

Religious Principle “I therefore beg leave to move — that henceforth prayers, imploring the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business; and that one or more of the clergy of this city be requested to officiate in that service.” –Benjamin Franklin Constitutional Convention Speech

Religious Principle “Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect, that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.” –George Washington’s Farewell Address

Less is More The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, including headings, is 5,177 words in length, according to the Microsoft Word Count program. By comparison, the U.S. Internal Revenue Code contains more than 2.8 million words.

Individual Responsibility “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.” –2 Thessalonians 3:10-11
