3. Mood the overall feeling or emotion conveyed to the reader in a work of literature. *When trying to figure out the mood, it is important that you pay close attention to elements such as: SETTING, VOICE, DICTION, TONE and THEME.

4. Hyperbole a deliberate exaggeration used for effect. It was so cold, I saw polar bears wearing jackets “she is so dumb, she thinks Taco Bell is a Mexican phone company” I am so hungry I could eat a horse. I have a million things to do. Come up with an example of a common hyperbole that you use.
