2. History of Notes Development Netcellent developed Notes for Macola® in 1991. Note type function in 1992. Tickler function in 1997. Graphical user interface in 1998. Tickler reminder function in 1999. Knowledgebase function in 2000. Notes have been mature through a long period.

4. Notes vs. Attributes Attribute was introduced with Elliott® V7 (2002) –Attribute expand Elliott Database without modification. Notes was available since Macola® V5 (1991) –Before Attribute was available, Notes is the only way to expand Elliott Database without modification. –Notes is more suitable for free form text. –Notes can be used as a way to expand Elliott Database too. However, attribute is more suitable than notes for this purpose now.
