5  The end of World War 1 -- Great Depression. (mainly the 1920s-1930s)  Soldiers came back expecting equality  People had money to spend on entertainment  Great Depression caused Harlem Renaissance to stop because there was no more entertainment money.  Huge amount of jobs in the northern states= mass migration of African-American communities to New York and Chicago  Location: mostly in Harlem, New York

6  Research packet-- We will have 3 days to research! (This is considered the outline for the project and will be turned in for points)  You will write a research paper about your person  You will create a tri-fold board display  You will present your tri-fold board to the school and community in the IMC  You will present your tri-fold to the class
