9 Midlands For the motion We are an Institute with 10,000 members There are 1200 members in the Midlands and growing strongly Members are Facilities Managers performing a varied roll that improves services, reduces costs and adds benefits to all bottom lines The FM role is a profession adding value to our customers – To debate for the motion I give you BIFM Chair – Mick Dalton

10 Midlands Against I am only a qualified Catering Manager In the room I can see engineers, space planners, surveyors and security officers But we have all developed into Facilities Managers As the saying goes we are Jack of all trades and master of none. We need to progress into a more positive, proactive, quality driven service provider We believe Facilities Management is a profession that does not bring benefits to all companies, but I hope that our speaker agrees we could and we can. So against the motion I give you – Martin Pickard
