Change 4 Change December 2011

Reasons Behind Change 4 Change  Service Learning Project for jr. high students.  Money is raised to buy Christmas presents for local families who are unable to buy for themselves.  You will learn how you can make a positive change in our community.  You will be challenged to show random acts of kindness throughout the project.

Reasons continued:  Christmas is about giving of yourself and giving to others.  It’s a time for you to show compassion and caring for others who are less fortunate than you.  Doing things for others can make you feel good inside so let’s follow the example of MR. SPACE CITY whom you will soon meet.

The Details… What you can do For the next 3 ½ weeks bring your spare change to your PAWS group. This is a competition among PAWS groups. Pennies, quarters, and dollar bills are positive points. Nickels and dimes are negative points. You can put your change in any other PAWS can (to bomb them) or in your own PAWS can for positive points.

THE TRIP  We will take the money we raise to Target and buy Christmas presents for adopted families.  Our Shopping trip will be on:  Wednesday, December 21 st  8:30 – 2:45  Coral Ridge Mall

Our Goal!!!  Our Goal this year is $800  Last year the 7 th & 8 th graders were able to raise $1,022.87 in three weeks. You will have 3 ½ weeks for Change 4 Change this year. Can you beat last year’s total? Let’s try it
