3
What steps do we follow? Step 1: Take a good look at the denominator and the whole number then ask yourself; what is 12 divided by 2. 12 ÷ 2 = ____ 1 of 12= ____ 2 Step 2: Multiply your answer by the numerator. 6 x 1 = _____ 6 6 6
4
Steps Continues…. Step 3: Check your answer. 1 of 12= ____ 2 It’s Simple! you just multiply your answer by the denominator! 6 x 2 = _____ How? 12 6 I donno
5
That was easy enough! Let’s try…. 2 of 25= ____ 5 5 25 ÷ 5 = _____ 10 H o w w o u l d y o u c h e c k t h i s o n e ? 1 0 x 5 i s w a y m o r e t h a n 2 5 5 x 2 = ____

Well….. 2 of 25= ____ 5 5 Ask ourselves…what 1 of 25 = _____ 5 10
7
Now that we know the answer… 10 What do we do with the 5? 2 of 25 = 10 and 1 of 25 = 5 5 5 x 2 = ______ T h a t w a s h a r d ! We use that answer and multiply it by the numerator.
