Watkins approached Joe about: Surveying businesses about experience with TC permitting, regulations, ease of use Researching factors leading to successful rural counties in NC 10/9/20136

7 Targeted completion date question To us from Mr. Artie Wilson: TC Manager Thanks to you and the members of the Independent Economic Development Task Force for all the time you have spent so far on addressing the issue of economic development in our community. I have been asked if you and the Task force have discussed a tentative date of when you will have a full report to the Board of Commissioners. If so, could you share that date with me so we can tentatively plan for next year on a date for a workshop to hear and discuss your recommendations? 10/9/20137

8 Targeted completion date – for upgrade Oct 23, 2013: propose process to analyze agency data Oct 30, 2013: finalize process to analyze agency data October 31, 2013: most all agency input received November, December (with holidays): analyze data Jan – mid Feb: propose/evaluate organization construct alternatives Feb 12 – finalize org construct March: Mission/vision for new EDO April/May – Select targeted industries, develop initial marketing plan June 11 – Final report prepared 10/9/20138
