9 You Negotiate Each of you will take on the role of one the Big Three. You will be separated into two groups according to the scenario number. Flip to the next page in your binder. Read the placard about who you are about to become. Negotiate for the outcome that best benefits your country.

10 The Scenarios Scenario 1 The Soviet Union wants to claim part of what used to be Poland as its own and place a “friendly” government in the remaining part. Remember: Poland did not exist after 1939 so it needs to be recreated. Scenario 2 It has been decided that the defeat of Germany will be priority for the Allies. The United States still needs help fighting the Japanese in the Pacific. Who will help? When will the help arrive?
