Ecology is a science which studies relationship between all forms of life on our planet with its environment. This word came from the Greek “oikos” which means “home”. This idea of home includes the whole planet of ours; it’s population, the nature, animals, birds, fish, insects, all other living beings and even the atmosphere around our planet. Nowdays there are global problems between the relations of Man with Nature. Life on the Earth is in danger. So, in spite of everything, we believe that the Earth is our home, a big green home. All its inhabitants - people, animals and birds - need to live in peace and harmony.

People work at the factories, drive cars. These factories and cars put a lot of harmful gases into the air. The air is polluted. It’s difficult to breathe for people.

Many rivers and lakes are poisoned. Fish and reptiles can’t live in them. The water is not blue, but brown with rubbish floating in it. In such places all the birds leave their habitats and many plants die. If people drink this water they can die too. It happens so because factories and plants produce a lot of waste and pour it into rivers.

Many wild animals and birds are also disappearing from the Earth. Modern life is bad for them. The ear is not fresh. The water is not clean. They don't often have good things to eat and space to live. We can find their names in the Red Data Book.

We will suggest you some ways to take care of the environment Save water. Save energy. Grow flowers and trees. Don’t pick up wild flowers. Respect the wildlife Remember the rules: reduce, reuse and recycle. Keep dogs under control. Don’t throw garbage, put it in the garbage bin.
