4 Fellow Categories and Requiements Categories – Technical Leader – Applications Engineer – Research Engineer/Scientist Must be Senior Member prior to Fellow Application – plenty of time to get this done Please start recruiting NOW.

5 The Fellow Process A Fellow Nomination can be “Shot down” at any step in the process Nomination + Endorsements Only Nomination, Endorsements + Fellow References

6 “Do” – Explicitly state the significance of the nominees work – write for a non-specialist (ie Fellows from other societies ) – Be clear and concise – Choose your Fellow References Carefully – Use spacings to your advantage (ie use spaces) – Have the nominee do a first draft of application

7 “Don’t” – Don’t talk about how much money you raise/manage How many students you have graduated Ranks within your organization – Don’t use Acronyms or country specific words/concerns – Don’t expect that the FEC or FC is familiar with your technical area, your jargon, your reputation
