TRACKING YEAR 10 Students’ progress will be tracked using our Assessment recording and reporting System. Students will be formally assessed half-termly in all their subjects. This allows us to identify underachievement. If this occurs, we will address it instantly by inviting the student for an interview and parents/carers will be informed.
12
The purpose of the Year 10 mentoring scheme is to support the pastoral and academic development of identified students. Identified students will be allocated to a mentor and parents/carers informed and updated on how they can also support their child. In individual subjects, subject teachers will monitor performance against targets and will mentor as appropriate. Parents will normally be informed when any intervention is put into place as the support of parents is key to the student’s success. Year 10 Mentoring
