Introduction (1/3)  The web has undergone a drastic change in the last few years. Initially the web was used for conveying the information, sending mails and promoting the business.  In last few years the web has completely revolutionized not only in terms of business and sending & receiving mails but also in terms of networking called Social Networking.  Social networking is the grouping of individuals into specific groups, like small rural communities or a neighborhood subdivision.  Social networking websites function like an online community of internet users. Depending on the website in question, many of these online community members share common interests in hobbies, religion, or politics.

Introduction (2/3)  Coalesce is Diploma Students Social Networking Site or common platform were all diploma colleges will be there and no other colleges or individual that are not part of any diploma colleges will be allowed.  The concept of Coalesce is that it is being implemented by university and where every diploma college’s students and faculties will be enrolled.  This will allow knowledge sharing between the students and faculties.  The students can ask their queries online and concerned faculty will answer their queries. The students can share assignments, their knowledge etc.

Introduction (3/3)  The Faculty will also will be given a login where he/she can post the notices, assignments for respective college and class.  The students can upload and download the assignments, eBooks etc form the site.  Coalesce will be virtual college for the students.  Coalesce will be one such platform where all the notices, messages posted by user, faculty will be received on mobile via SMS.  This will keep any diploma student updated regarding all the activities that are being held.

Current Scenario  No common platform where students can raise their queries.  No common platform for sharing knowledge with students of different college.  Few colleges provide Messaging/SMS features which keeps students updated regarding events in the college. But still it has not made its way to full fledged service  Apart from third party chat application, no open chat application meant itself for college purpose.

Proposed Solution (1/2)  Developing a web portal to address all the problems discussed in previous slide  A common platform to share knowledge with students of different colleges  A platform for students to raise their queries  A platform where students can view all the important notices that have been uploaded by the faculty.  Coalesce will be one such common platform were all diploma colleges will be there and no other colleges or individual that are not part of any diploma colleges will be allowed

Proposed Solution (2/2)  The students can ask their queries online and concerned faculty will answer their queries.  The students can share assignments, their knowledge etc.  The Faculty will also will be given a login where he/she can post the notices, assignments for respective college and class.  The students can upload and download the assignments, eBooks etc form the site. Coalesce will be virtual college for the students.
