3  Biosphere-  Areas on and around the earth that can sustain life  Examples hydrosphere, lithosphere  Biome-  An area with characteristic conditions (climate, soil and organisms)

4  Ecosystem-  All the organisms in a particular area and the abiotic elements that they interact with  Community-  A group of populations that interact within an ecosytem  Polar bears, seals, fish

5  Population-  A group of organism that are the same species within an ecosystem  Ex. Polar bears  Individuals-  An individual organism  Ex. A polar bear

7 assignments  Fill in organization of life pyramids- as a class  Find abiotic and biotic elements in the picture  Go outside to make your own list and hand in
