1 The Do’s and Don’ts Part 5 of the Reflexology Presentations

2 Precautions to Reflexology Always ensure you have carried out a full consultation with your client before commencing treatment. If in doubt of any contra – indications always seek GP's referral. Do not state to a client that you can cure them, only alleviate a problem. Always give the client home care and after care advice.

3 The Do’s Always make sure that your client is comfortable before you begin the treatment. Ensure that the treatment room is clean and warm. Always carry out a full consultation with your client Always give your client after care advice after treatment Always warn your client of the after effects of the treatment or the healing crisis they may experience. Make a note of any feedback the client gives you from the treatment Offer your client a drink of water after the treatment.

4 The Don’ts Never carry out a treatment if the client has just had a big meal. Never treat if the client is– contra indicated and you are unsure. Do not stimulate the heart area. Never start the treatment on the left foot. Do not treat unstable pregnancies. Do not over stimulate an area. Treat cancer patients only with GP's permission. Never state you can cure a problem, only that you will be able to alleviate a problem.
