2014-2015 Goals – Midpoint Check Increase Membership to 400 Jan 2013 – 368 Total Student Body - 312 Total Members (85%) – 253 Family/Teachers/Staff (69%) – 59 Grandparents/Friends (16%) Jan 2014 – 401 Total Student Body - 341 Total Members (85%) – 310 Family/Teachers/Staff (77%) INCREASE!! – 31 Grandparents/Friends (8%) Jan 2015 – 400 Total Student Body - 328 Total Members (82%) – 100% Staff – 155 Families (Directories)

Increase Male Participation – More Men in Key Positions and as Committee Chairs - Co-President, Legislation, Pancake Breakfast, School Dance, Science Fair, Hawk Walk, Movie Night, Art Night, Dads & Donuts, Financial Review, E-prep – Movie Night is run by all male volunteers – Dads & Donuts is run by all male volunteers (recruiting more men as future volunteers during this event) – Pancake Breakfast co-chaired by men 2014-2015 Goals – Midpoint Check

Cultivate Parent Education Initiatives – Understanding and Planning for Your Child ’ s College Education – Healthy Holiday Snacks – City of Kenmore Discusses Target Zero Initiative Increase Partnership with Mid Level Blended Program – Communicating with MLB teachers about their needs – Integrating SEPAC (Special Education Parent/Professional Advisory Council) Initiatives into our Programs and Events 2014-2015 Goals – Midpoint Check

PTA Award Submission – due by April 1 The more specific examples provided, the better. awards@ptaarrowhead.org Golden Acorn Will present up to 3 at the June General PTA meeting The PTA Golden Acorn Award is presented each year to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to the children at Arrowhead Elementary and our PTA. It is a very special award and is given for continued and dedicated service. This award is an excellent way to honor PTA members for their outstanding contributions and to celebrate the difference they make in our Arrowhead community. Honorary Life Membership Will present one award at the June General PTA meeting The purpose of the Honorary Life Membership is to recognize an individual who has contributed significantly to a PTA at the local unit, council, or state level. Outstanding Advocate Award Will present one award at the June General PTA meeting In 2004, the Washington State PTA established the Outstanding Advocate Award, a new statewide volunteer recognition program to recognize and honor individuals for their advocacy work on behalf of children and youth. This award can be given by a PTA unit, council, or region. Recipients receive a certificate and pin and a contribution is made in their name to the WSPTA Scholarship Program
