What’s your learning style There are three basic types of learning styles. The three most common are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. To learn, we depend on our senses to process the information around us. Most people tend to use one of their senses more than the others. It is not unusual to use different learning styles for different tasks. That's why people can respond so differently to the same thing. In recent years, there has been a dramatic upsurge in professional and public awareness of Auditory Processing Disorders (APD), also referred to as Central Auditory Processing Disorders (CAPD).

What is learning style? The auditory learning style refers to individuals who learn best by hearing things explained to them. According to Three Rivers Community College, about 30 percent of learners prefer auditory learning to other methods. reviewing class notes aloud, or recording the notes on a tape recorder and listening to it.

Auditory learner’s Auditory learner’s are people who learn form hearing. When memorizing a phone number, an auditory learner will say it out loud and then remember how it sounded to recall it. In these situations, listening to music or having different sounds in the background (TV, people talking, etc) will help learners work better. Auditory learners have to have the problem or work sheet explained to them.

What will help more for auditory learners? There are at least 30 to 40 percent of the school aged population in schools that will succeed in a lot of better classes. Auditory learners tend to benefit most from traditional teaching techniques. Auditory learners succeed when directions are read aloud speeches are required or information is presented and requested.

Is it better to pay attention or not with Auditory? Is good in study groups. Is good to pay attention in class so you can get all the note’s to study with test and quizzes. It might be easer for auditory kid’s to work in groups and it might also be easer for them to pay attention. It might be easer for them to work in pares and they can both help with directions.
