10 The current situation in CEE Region in the entrepreneurial sector : low share of SMEs that create high technology products and services low share of exports of finished products weak transfer of knowledge from education sector and research institutions into practice poor access to major markets underdeveloped capital markets, which would allow proper financing of high-tech enterprises

11 CONSEQUENCE:  very low share of high-tech SMEs and new young enterprises with high added value, that are prepared for globalization

12 VC - MORE THAN CAPITAL INVESTMENT In addition to capital investment into the enterprise (venture capital, mezzanine capital) venture capital funds offer:  co-responsibility for the company's growth  participation in strategic choices in terms of growth and development  assistance in all business areas (legal, financial and market positioning, …)
