4 Alcohol possession and use is not permitted by students under the age of 21

5 FERPA Calls to parents or guardians Letter from your student to you

6 Recent research showed that decreased parental awareness and monitoring during the summer before college was associated with increased student alcohol use in the first year of college.

7 California law does not allow individuals to smoke or otherwise use medically prescribed marijuana in any area where smoking is prohibited and within 1000 feet of any school. Prescriptions for medical marijuana do not exempt individuals from compliance with University policies or laws related to smoking or drug use.
