1 BABY ENGLISH, REALLY??!! Karen Muckey – The English Business, Sevilla

2 LET’S DISCUSS! What are the arguments for and against starting to teach English to children as young as 4 months? Why should we wait? What could be the benefits of starting young? What would be the most difficult challenge of teaching babies in your opinion? What does it take to be a good baby teacher? Is teaching babies for everybody?

3 STRUCTURING BABY CLASSES Classes are given at a nursery school in the morning hours as part of the school’s curriculum 30 minute classes 2 days/week or 4 days/week 3 different groups –4 months to 1 year –1 year olds –2 year olds

5 BABY BABIES 4 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR SEAT ALL BABIES IN STROLLERS, HIGH CHAIRS OR HAMMOCKS, FACING THE TEACHER PREPARE TO SWEAT! CLASSES MUST BE DYNAMIC AND MOVE QUICKLY TEACHERS SHOULD MAKE EYE CONTACT WITH BABIES AND MOVE AROUND THE ROOM HAVING THE NURSERY SCHOOL TEACHER IN THE ROOM HELPS WITH THIS AGE
