2 Summer Library Hours June 10 – August 24, 2013 Mondays and Thursdays - 12 noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed Fridays and Sundays) The library will be closed Monday, July 1, through Saturday, July 6, 2013

3 Children’s Summer Reading Club When? Registration: Monday, June 10 - Saturday, June 29. TIME Logs may be returned weekly, beginning Monday, June 17, through Saturday, July 13. TITLE Logs may be returned any time between Monday, June 17, and Saturday, July 13. Who? Forney Library Cardholders 2-12 years of age are invited to participate in the Reading Club. Pre-readers may participate in the program by having an adult read to them. Library cards are FREE for Forney ISD residents. How? Reading for Prizes (while supplies last) Options for Participation: Participant chooses! Complete a TIME Log, a TITLE Log, or BOTH! Time Logs: Earn a prize while supplies last by reading 5 hours each week, logging the hours on the TIME Log, and returning the completed log to the library. A prize for reading 5 hours each week will be awarded on a weekly, first-come basis while supplies last. Weekly prizes will not be awarded in advance. Weekly prizes may vary. For prize details, participants may speak with a librarian at registration. Title Logs: Earn a circus voucher while supplies last by completing 5 books during the summer reading program, logging the book titles on the TITLE Log, and returning the log to the library.

4 Children’s Summer Programs The children’s programs are FREE! Program days and times vary so please mark your calendars carefully. (Suggested ages: 5 years and up) Thursday, June 13 6:00 p.m. Todd McKinney Comedy Magician – Magic Show! Monday, June 17 3:00 p.m. Zooniversity Stage Stars – “Where the Wild Things Are!” Tuesday, June 25 2:00 p.m. Dallas Puppet Theater “String Variety Show” Please note: Parents or caregivers age 18 or over must attend library programs with their child(ren). Seating is on a first-come basis, and attendees are encouraged to be seated by program start time. Pictures without permission are not allowed. Audio or video recordings are not permitted.
