Al Russ, Debbie Johnson, Charlie Bender, and Hugh Patterson attended. The Carpool driver was Al Russ. Debbie Johnson met us there. The club provided a private room and outstanding food. The speaker was Cathy Parker of Athletes To Champions. She gave an excellent and most informative presentation about providing a football field(650,000 lbs. of turf) as well as instruction to the children in Alaska as to how to play football. The children were eager and fast learners resulting in a bonding that enabled them to bring about better teacher, student, parent relationships. http://athletes2champions.org/ http://athletes2champions.org/ Al Russ INTERCLUB President James Lee with a special message for the club. John Bates spoke about the K-Kids and the Senior Thanksgiving Dinner. Dan Corritore needs volunteer readers. Doris Barnes spoke about the Beam Project. Al Russ spoke about the Interclub. Bill MacLeod reported about Fletcher Key Club. Debbie Johnson with guest, Lisa Watson, Board Chair of The Big Fun Foundation. The six permanent Objects of Kiwanis International (listed on front of the newsletter) were approved by Kiwanis club delegates at the 1924 Convention in Denver, Colorado. Through the succeeding decades, they have remained unchanged.
