4 The League of Nations US President Woodrow Wilson came up with a peace plan that included 14 points he felt would insure that another World War did not happen – Most of his ideas were rejected in the Treaty of Versailles – One of his ideas that gained some traction was the creation of a League of Nations This would be a place were countries could gather and solve problems through diplomacy instead of war Was a cause of intense debate in the US, where the Senate rejected it
