2 Ⅰ. Title Young-hyun Goes to See a Doctor. Ⅱ. Theme "Sound body sound mind "as the proverb says, health is very important in our life. This unit focuses on understanding importance of health. Those procedures include speaking about part of body, understanding condition of a disease, correct a right response, understanding specification situation, arrange the sentence in right order.

3 Ⅲ. Language foci a. Communicative Functions Speaking about part of body ex) [Teacher] Let me explain how to do it. I'll say the name of a part of my body. then you should point to with your finger. Understanding condition of a disease ex) I have a headache. I have a toothache. I have a stomachache. I have a cold. I have a fever. I have a cough. I have a runny nose. I have a sore throat.

7 Ⅴ. Prerequisites Students already know ; a. Do/Does question forms b. Use of past, present tense c. use of singular, plural verbs

Procedure (1) Activity 1 - Speaking about part of body (Vocabulary) ● Warm-up : Before the learning, find a their favorite TV star or athlete 's photo. and write down the name of a part of body. - step 1 : A teacher explains the word puzzle. - step 2 : Give out the prepared paper to students. - step 3 : A teacher going to devided into 2 teams and decide on team name. - step 4 : Give each group for 3 mins,let them complete their game sheet. - Step 5 : correct answer gets 10 point each. http://www.manythings.org/vocabulary/games/a/words.php?f=body_1

Understanding condition of a disease ● Warm-up : A teacher have students repeat after him(her)self. -step 1: A teacher read the instruction. -step 2 : A teacher explain picture and sentences. (ex - "Before we start activity, look at the example sentences and picture first.") -step 3 : Understanding picture. (ex - "Look at pic.1. How is he? Is he fine?, What about pic.2? What's his problem?") - step 4 : Have students conversation with their partner. Now I have a cold. 3) I ate this terrible food. It tasted really bad. I feel really sick. My stomach feels very bad now and I have a fever. ❶ □ That's bad. □ How great! ❷ □ I'm sorry. □ That sounds good. ❸ □ Oh, that sounds nice. □ That sounds bad.

13 Activity 3 -Correct a right response - step 1 : A teacher going to speak to the short sentences. - step 2 : And then, students are listen and mark the proper response. - step 3 : Next, a teacher speak to the short sentences again. - step 4 : After that, a teacher check the answer with their partner.

14 Activity 4 - Understanding specification situation ● warm up : teacher asks some question about their experience (disease) - step 1 : A teacher reads the whole dialogue and a teacher explains each sentence. (conversation) YoungHyun: Oh, you look terrible. Brian: I feel really sick. YoungHyun: What's wrong? Brian: I have a cold. I have a high fever. I have a sore throat and a runny nose. YoungHyun: Oh, no! That sounds bad. Why don't you go to see a doctor? Brian: OK. I will. Thanks. Bye. YoungHyun: Take care.

16 Activity 4 - Understanding specification situation ● assessment as homework - clear an examination paper [Mini Test] Mini Test Grammar - feel (look, sound, taste, smell) + 형용사 다음의 동사 ‘feel( 느끼다 ), look( 보이다 ), sound( 들리다 ), taste( 맛이 나다 ), smell( 냄새 나다 )’ 는 사람들의 다섯 가지 감각을 나타내는 표현이다. 그들 느낌을 표현할 때 이들 동사 다음에는 부사가 아니라 형용사가 온다는 사실에 주의해야 한다. ( 예문 ) ․ She feels very sick. ․ That sounds wonderful. ․ You look pretty today. ․ This food tastes good. ․ This flower smells sweet. ☞ 다음 중 알맞은 표현을 고르시오. 1. You look ( happy, happily ). 2. 17 Activity 5 - Arrange the sentence in right order. - Step 1 : Break students up into 8 groups - Step 2 : Give student to sentences cards. (8 sentences cards. ) - Step 3 : student stand in a line to right order. - Step 4 : speaking the sentences line by line. 1. Her office is next to YoungHyun 's school. 2. Advice on Colds a. Drink lots of orange juice. b. Go to bed early and rest. 3. She also gives her a pamphlet. 4. Dr. Kim is very nice and always smiles. 5. Her nurse gives YoungHyun a shot. 6. YoungHyun feels very sick. 7. Here is some advice in the pamphlet. 8.
