1. MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN MAY Freshman Advisory

2. YOUR MISSION (should you choose to accept it) Find a way as BG students to make a difference in our school and/or community. You can team with another advisory or work within your own group. Brainstorm for ideas (some are included here) as a group. Decide on an idea and make a plan.

3. Your mission… Figure out what you need to make it happen. Pass on the plan to Mr. White and Mrs. Beguin. Put your plan into action. Complete your plan by June 4th (mission accomplished). Advisories who actively participate are exempt from advisory on June 7 th and 8 th.

4. So How Can We Make a Difference? Some thoughts… Write thank you notes to people at BG who have been important to you this year. Clean up the halls or the outside grounds once or twice a week. Plan activities for next year’s freshman advisories. Create a usable and appropriate freshman survival guide.

5. And some more ideas… Ask different divisions if they need some help. Perhaps counting books or taking down bulletin boards is a way you can help. Talk to coaches or sponsors to find out ways you can help them. Are there any fundraisers or activities that need helpers?

6. And some more… Raise awareness regarding some need in our community or building (food pantries, clothes donations). Create study groups within your advisories or advisory periods and work on increasing your grades in a specific course (Freshman Bio perhaps). Check with the Little Bison program director and see if there are opportunities to help them.

7. The Choice is Yours Take some time to discuss whether you want to do this as an advisory. Generate some possible ideas and how to accomplish them. Use the month of May to creatively help out in making a difference in our school.
