4 Onboarding/Credentialing  Your Passport must be current at all times from admission until graduation  A current passport is crucial during rotations, in part to fulfill our contractual obligations with clinical sites  An expired passport item can result in a registration hold, a delay or cessation of your rotation until the item/s is updated and documented, or not being able to count clinical hours accrued during the time when a passport item is expired Back to Menu

5 Once placement has been found for you, your Clinical Placement Coordinator will send you a “Site Confirmation and Schedule” notification which will come in the form of an “evaluation” from E*Value. (You can also access it as a ‘pending’ evaluation on your E*Value home page.) Click the Hyperlink to access the “Rotation Schedule Dates Form ” Back to Menu Site Confirmation and Schedule Form

6 Click “Edit Evaluation” to open the “Rotation Schedule Dates form shown below Enter the start and end dates for each rotation. When finished, go to the bottom of the form and either click “Save for Later”( if you have not finished) or “Submit” to send the dates back to E*Value and finish your rotation schedule. Your rotation dates MUST be submitted BEFORE you start your rotations, so that we can schedule your rotation in E*Value. Back to Menu Completing the Rotation Schedule Dates Form

7 You will log and submit information about your clinical experiences in the following areas: TTime Tracking-Logging of your clinical hours PPXDX-Logging of your patient encounters EEvaluations-Completion of evaluations regarding your rotation THIS DOCUMENTATION IS A REQUIREMENT FOR ACCREDITATION AND GRADUATION Back to Menu Documentation of Your Clinical Experiences in E*Value

8 Time Tracking  Verifies that you have completed the required clinical hours  Links hours to preceptors so they can receive credit for their time precepting students  While logging entries, select your preceptor (not your faculty) from the ‘Supervisor’ dropdown, ensuring the preceptor gets credit for the hours  If your preceptor does not appear in the dropdown menu, contact Lynn Turner or your Clinical Placement Coordinator  A video tutorial for logging time tracking hours can be found at http://help.e-value.net/adminHelp/index.cfm/tutorials/evalue-how-to-tutorial-time-tracking-how-to-log- clinicalduty-hours-trainee/  Your clinical faculty will review and approve time tracking entries Back to Menu

9 PxDx  This area of E*value is used by the student to log ALL student-patient encounters  Diagnoses, procedures, patient characteristics, etc. are logged. 10 Evaluations  Four different evaluations go out via email for every rotation  Preceptor of Student  Student of Preceptor  Faculty of Student  Faculty of Site  Preceptor and student evaluations are sent out two weeks from end of rotation  Please ensure the completion and submission of an evaluation by each of your preceptors Back to Menu

11 Communication with Clinical Faculty  Each semester students will be assigned a clinical faculty member  Ongoing communication with your clinical faculty about your rotation is very important and key to your success  Be sure to communicate with your clinical faculty before starting your rotation/s  You will need to coordinate with your clinical faculty regarding scheduling a site visit  All NURS540 placements must be approved by your clinical faculty Back to Menu
