1. Click “Insert” for graph Select “Column”, 2-D

2. Right-click on blank graph and go to “Select Data” ADD a new series

3. Series Name: title of graph Series values: highlight row with AVE Click “OK”

4. Click “Edit” for Horizontal Axis Lables Highlight your column headings (Fresh, Root, Control) Click “OK”

5. Delete legend Click on “Layout” Under “Error Bars” select “More Error Bar Options”

6. Select “Plus” only Click on “Custom” and then “Specify Value”

7. For “Positive Error Value” Highlight row with SD Do NOT touch “negative error value” Click “OK”, the “Close” to shut the error bar window

8. Under “Layout”, click “Axis Titles”  “Primary Vertical Axis Title”  “Rotated Title” Click on title to change and include units

9. Click on main title to change (if necessary) Under “Home” tab, use the font size button to decrease font to fit graph VOILA! You’re done!
