1 Welcome to Mrs. Scott’s Classroom As you enter the classroom, you need to look at the pink number on the card and sit where that number is on a desk. Please make sure your backpack is underneath your desk. On the yellow post-it: Please write the trait(s) that you like to see most in your teachers On the blue post-it: Please write adjectives that describe the student you PLAN TO BE this year. -Bell Ringer- You have 5 minutes to complete these tasks.

2 Welcome to Mrs. Scott’s Classroom Always look at the agenda and the objectives on the board as you enter. Write any “Practice” work in your agenda as a reminder for yourself. Complete the Bell Ringer once seated. -Agenda/Objectives-

3 Welcome to Mrs. Scott’s Classroom With your table family, You will need to find five things you all have in common that are NOT school related. Learn about your classmates! Share personal stories/anecdotes! -We are all connected- You will have seven minutes to complete this task. You may want to write down the commonalities on a scrap piece of paper.

4 Champe CHARGE Take two minutes and read the four quadrants of our Champe CHARGE coat of arms. Think of a time when you exhibited one of the behaviors written. Write down the example on the coat of arms provided. Be ready to share with a partner.

5 Coat of Arms First coat of arms can be inked all the way back to 13 th Century; the 1200s. The field = the shield (blank slate) Colors/Metals = Blue, red, purple, black, and green, silver and gold Animals = lions, serpents Geometric patterns = (ordinaries shown) Evolution occurred over time to signify feudal systems. 6 Requirements Quadrant 1 = Your personal motto; your take on life in one sentence. Quadrant 2 = A color that represents you with a chosen “ordinary” design as seen below. Quadrant 3 = Visual representation of what you enjoy most about school. Quadrant 4 = Visual representation of what you enjoy most about life outside of school. Quadrant 5 = Visual representation of your favorite character (book, tv, movie).
