2 Overview Statement Because God is Trinity, we have been made for relationships. The family is the basic building block of society. Voluntary associations of citizens are the first place where societies problems are to be solved.

3 Introductory Questions What are the signs of a healthy family? How healthy are the families in your society? How healthy is your family? When there is a problem in your community, to whom do people look to solve the problem? The government? The ruling class? Other? Why?

4 Post Video Discussion What is the opposite – antithesis - of this principle? On a scale moving from 1-10 with 1 being the opposite of this principle and 10 being the perfect application of this principle, where does your nation fall. Give illustrations or stories to demonstrate your answer. These can be for the principle or the antithesis as you have observed it.

5 Scripture Discovery Read – Set # 1: Genesis 1: 26-27; Matt. 3: 16-17; Romans 12:3-6 – Set # 2: Genesis 3: 22; Luke 3:21-22; 1 Cor. 12:4-7 – Set # 3: Genesis 11:7; Mark 1: 9-11; 1 Cor. 12:12-20, 27 Question: – What do these verses reveal about the nature of God? – If God reveals himself as Unity-Diversity, what does this mean for us who are made in the image of God? – What does the image of the body of Christ or the human body, teach us about the nature of God and the nature of human beings?

6 Scripture Discovery Read – Set # 1: Deu. 6: 4-7: Psalm 78:4; Proverbs 1:8; Ephesians 6:4 – Set # 2: Deu. 11:18-21; Proverbs 22:6; Joel 1:4 – Set # 3: Genesis 18:18-19; Proverbs 6:20; 23:22- 24 Question – Who has the primary responsibility for educating children?

7 Scripture Discovery Read – Set # 1: Prov. 21:3; Matt. 25: 31-46 – Set # 2: Matt 7:12; 22:37-40; Phil 2: 1- 11 – Set # 3: Jeremiah 22:3; Amos 5:34; Micah 6:8; Zech. 7:9 Questions (Consider the nature of the body of Christ and her gifting from the Romans and 1 Corinthians passages above. We are to function with our gifting within the community of the body of Christ.) – How is the community of the body of Christ to be focused, inward or outward? Why? – What does the Lord require of his people? – When Christ returns, he will separate the sheep from the goats. What distinguishes the sheep from the goats? Is your church a sheep church or a goat church. – What might some of the activities of these churches be?
