TASK REACT TO BLOCKED AMBUSH CONDITIONS GIVEN A MISSION TO CONVOY AS A SERIAL WITH HIGH ENEMY THREAT. STANDARDS COMPLETE MISSION!!!!!! BREACH OBSTACLE WHILE DESTROYING OR FORCING ENEMIES TO WITHDRAW.

TASK STEPS: 1. Convoy Commander brief the serial on convoy procedures 2. The lead vehicle crosses the start point at the specified time. The commander verifies all vehicles have crossed the start point and reports higher. 3. The convoy follows the specified route and maintains march speed, intervals and reacts correctly to commander’s signals. 4. The convoy reacts to enemy contact. The commander signals the serial that they are in a blocked ambush. a. All elements dismount and seek available cover. b. All elements receiving fire scan for the enemy and return fire at identified enemy positions.

c. Vehicle drivers move vehicles to cover d. Commander directs support by fire positions to suppress the enemy e. Commander calls for indirect fire as necessary/ available and gives SALUTE Report. f. Assemble the assault team g. Commander directs the assault element to flank the enemy h. Assault element moves along a covered and concealed route to flank the enemy. Assault element engages the enemy. i. Assault element signals support by fire element to lift fire. j. Assault element fires and maneuvers through the enemy positions to limit of advance. k. Assault element secures the limit of advance and searches the enemy element i. Commander reports the situation to higher

5. The support by fire element reduces the obstacle a. SBF element clears route and obstacle of anti-handling devices with the use of grappling hook or suitable substitute b. Assault element continues securing the far side of the obstacle SBF secures the near side of the obstacle c. SBF element moves to the obstacle and cut the wire d. SBF element clears the wire from obstacles

6. The convoy consolidates and reorganizes a. Key leaders are replaced b. Key weapons are manned c. Ammunition and equipment is redistributed d. Treat casualties and prepare them for movement e. Recover damaged equipment or destroy it in place f. Commander directs the vehicles through the obstacle 7. The convoy continues the mission a. Commander reports to higher headquarters b. Convoy arrives at specified time c. Commanders accounts for all personnel and equipment.
