3 What is Zscaler? Zscaler is a web-filtering service that will replace the current SINA (myinternet) web filtering. It will provide schools with the tools required to manage web access. DRAFT ONLY ‘Filtering Advice for Schools’

9 Getting started Your focus is to implement rules to ensure that the users within your school are accessing appropriate websites and secures them as per your school’s acceptable use policy.

11 Usernames Usernames have to be in the format of a email address; e.g. jsmith@your_School_Domain_name The Active Directory needs to be compiled. DRAFT ONLY

13 How to backup your Zscaler portal configuration 1)Login to the Zscaler admin portal for your site. URL: https://admin.zsclareone.net UN: siteadmin@your_school_domain_suffix PW: xxxx DRAFT ONLY

15 3)Select “Edit” > “Create restore point” > Then name the restore point. Note: Choose something that is relevant that you will recognize at a future date. 4)> Select “Done” once complete How to backup your Zscaler portal configuration DRAFT ONLY

18 1) Log into the Zscaler portal and navigate to the “Administration” > “Backup & Restore Policies” tab 2) Select “Edit” > then select the “Backup-Restore” icon on the backup point you wish to restore your configuration to How to restore your Zscaler portal configuration from a backup point DRAFT ONLY
