2 Please understand that the 3 rd grade is much different than the previous grades. Here are just a few of the differences… Students will receive grades. Students will receive grades. 6 What YOU can do NOW to help your child get ready for the 3 rd grade! Teach you child their multiplication facts 1X1 – 12X12. 7 A Few More Important Things That Your Child Needs To Learn… It is OK to say “I do not know how to do this” and that it is OK to try and fail! We learn through our mistakes and through our failures. 8 The Grading Scale…….. Here is the grading scale used by all Onslow County Schools…. A = 100 – 93 (Excellent) B = 92 – 85 (Above Average) C = 84 – 77 (Average) D =76 – 70 (Below Average) F = Below 70 (Unsatisfactory)
