Watching and Discussi ng Denise and Keith are college students who have been dating for a long time. Denise likes Keith very much, but recently he’s been a bit cool and distant. He used to call her every evening, but it’s been a week since he called last time. Today on campus, she saw him having lunch with another female student. Keith was touching this girl’s hands a lot and making her laugh. Denise feels hurt and confused. Just weeks ago, Keith told Denise he loved her. That was the happiest day in her life. Today is undoubtedly the most miserable. Script for Video Clip 1 Watching and discussing

Denise talks to her best friend Christine about the situation Christine: I always thought there was something fishy about Keith. He just didn’t seem sincere. Denise: Don’t say that, Christine. There has to be a reasonable explanation for what he was doing with that girl. Christine: Yeah? Like what? Denise: Like, maybe she’s his cousin or something. Or maybe they’re old friends. Christine: Oh, they’re friends, all right. Very good friends! I wonder if he’s told her that he loves her yet. Script for Video Clip 2 Watching and Discussin g Watching and discussing

Denise: Stop! I’m going to call him and get to the bottom of this. Christine: Are you serious? Calling that creep is just a waste of time. Denise: When he realizes how much it hurts me, I’m sure he’ll never do anything like that again. Christine: No, not until the next time. Denise: I’m calling him right now. Watching and discussing

Christine: It’s one thing for Keith to have a sudden change of heart. It’s another for him to not even have enough decency to tell you. Denise: Even so, I still love him. Maybe I can do something to win him back. Christine: After he hurt you like this? Forget it! Script for Video Clip 3 Watching and Discussin g Watching and discussing

Denise: My mother used to say, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” I think I’ll invite Keith out for dinner at his favorite restaurant. I’ll get my hair done and wear my new black dress. Christine: What about his romantic lunch with this other girl? Are you going to mention it? Denise: No, I won’t let on that I saw anything.
