3 3 Reason for Today’s Event Supply Chain Event – September 2015 o Should Glenouther Renewable Energy Park be consented by East Ayrshire Council, Gamesa will require a range of suppliers to take it through construction to operation. o Gamesa would like to maximise opportunities for local businesses to bid for contracts. o This event provides an early opportunity for us to explain the opportunities that may arise should we get planning permission, and what requirements we may be looking for. o It also provides you with the opportunity to register your interest and ask any questions you may have at this stage.

Its comprehensive response includes also the wind turbine's operation and maintenance services, that manages for more than 550MW in the UK and in excess of 20,700 MW throughout the world. o Gamesa is also a world leader in the development, construction and sale of wind farms, having installed 6,400 MW in Europe, America and Asia. o The annual equivalent of its 31,200 MW installed amounts to more than 7 million tons of petroleum (TEP) per year and prevents the emission into the atmosphere of more than 47 million tonnes of CO2 per year. The key areas in which there are opportunities are: o Civil Engineering o Consultancy Services o Electrical Engineering o Project Management o Mechanical Engineering o Construction Services o Plant and Equipment Hire o Haulage o Landscaping o Security o Catering

12 12 Supply Chain Event – September 2015 Key Skills Required EXPERIENCE: We are looking for companies with experience in the opportunity areas just discussed. It is not a requirement that you have direct experience of working on a wind farm, but do demonstrate how your experience can transfer into the main opportunity areas, VALUE FOR MONEY: We are looking for the best value from our suppliers, so do be competitive when it comes to pricing. SOLUTION ORIENTATED: We require that our suppliers take an active approach in solving dilemmas faced during the construction of the wind farm, of which there will be many! COLLABORATIVE: There will be many technical disciplines involved in the construction of the wind farm – it is imperative that our suppliers all work together.
