The rich get richer… “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury…” Luke 16:19 There Is a Problem: “…the rich man died and was buried.” Luke 16:22

Hell is the end of victimization “…between us and you there is a great chasm fixed…” Luke 16:26 “Send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.” Luke 16:24 Nobody Will Escape Hell By Bribery For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. James 2:10

He said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come! It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble. Be on your guard!” Luke 17:1-3

“There will always be temptations to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting!” (NLT) “In the LXX this Greek term is used for the Hebrew concept of luring someone into a trap” - The IVP Commentary Series “Skandalon”

"It is inevitable that traps will come…” Luke 17:1 “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury…”

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” Luke 17:5 Faith IS: Trusting in someone Faith Is NOT: A substitute for proof. The Question: Is God trustworthy?

The Lord said, "If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea'; and it would obey you. Luke 17:6

Jesus said to him, “‘If You can?’ All things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24 “If you had faith like a mustard seed…”

“I love You, O LORD, my strength! The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2 Faith Unleashed…

“When a servant comes in from plowing or taking care of sheep, does his master say, ‘Come in and eat with me’? No, he says, ‘Prepare my meal, put on your apron, and serve me while I eat. Then you can eat later.’ And does the master thank the servant for doing what he was told to do? Of course not. In the same way, when you obey me you should say, ‘We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty.’” Luke 17:7-10

We are unworthy servants who have simply done our duty While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him; and they raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" When He saw them, He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they were going, they were cleansed. Luke 17:11-19

For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 1:21 Ingratitude poisons life

Eternal Still Growing Here & Now Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!' For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst." Luke 17:20-21
