HAIKU HAIKUS HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR AS LOG AS ANYONE CAN REMEMBER. THIS PICTURE IS A PICTURE OF A JAPANESE HAIKU. HAIKUS START WITH A LINE OF 5 SYLLABLES. THE NEXT LINE HAS 7 SYLLABLES. AND THE LAST LINE HAS 5 SYLLABLES.

ACROSTIC ACROSTIC POEMS ARE WHERE YOU HAVE A WORD GOING VERTICAL AND YOU ADD WORDS THAT MEAN THE WORD GOING VERTICALLY.

CINQUAIN A CINQUAIN POEM IS WERE AT THE FIRST LINE YOU PUT A WORD, THEN YOU PUT 2 ADJECTIVES OF THAT WORD ON THE NEXT LINE. THEN THE NEXT LINE YOU PUT 3-ING WORDS DESCRIBING THE WORD. THEN YOU PUT A WORD OR PHRASE MEANING A SYNONYM OF THE FIRST WORD. THEN THE LAST LINE YOU PUT A SYNONYM OF THE WORD IN THE BEGINNING.

COUPLETS COUPLETS ARE POEMS THAT RHYME. THEY HAVE TWO LINES.

LIMERICK LIMERICKS ARE POEMS WHERE THE FIRST 2 LINES RHYME. AND THE NEXT 2 LINES RHYME. AND THE LAST LINE RHYMES WITH THE FIRST 2 LINES.
