2 SLEEP During sleep you can strengthen memories and practice skills learned while you were awake Sleep also affects quality of life If you’re an athlete, sleep improves the average sprint time and has less daytime fatigue students who didn’t get enough sleep had worse grades than those who did. Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight, mind, and more.

3 PHYSICAL EXERCISE Physical fitness is important because you are more likely to live longer and have more energy. It also keeps you fit, remove excess body fat and also keep the bones strong. It helps you keep the brain active and sharp and also enjoy life more when you are looking and feeling good. You don’t need to log all of your daily activity in one session: You can accumulate physical activity in 10-minute bursts, spread throughout the day If you don’t currently exercise and aren’t very active during the day, any increase in exercise or physical activity is good for you. Start slow, and gradually build up the length and intensity of your workouts over time.

4 DRUGS AND ALCOHOL We are exposed to lots of unknown substances everyday. These can incude medicine ingredients; friends or neighbours smoking; or easy access to alcohol. Some drugs are critical to the survival of the human race. However a lot of these substances can be harmful and are actually illeagal. To maintain optimal wellness balance it is strongly recommended that you do not get involved with any harmful drugs.

5 Hygiene Hygiene is very important to your physical health. If you are practicing hygiene, you are showering, washing your hands, (etc.) regularly. These things help you destroy bacteria that might make you sick. The bird flu has been caused due to lack of hygiene. What can you do? → Brush your teeth at least twice a day → Shower regularly → Wash hands after using the bathroom (but don’t wash your hands too much because that is bad for your skin) → Change clothe regularly
